Bridgestone Americas, the US subsidiary of tyres and rubber specialist Bridgestone has launched the Bridgestone V-Steel Highway Service 3 (VHS3) tyre for mobile and all-terrain cranes.

The high-speed radial tire is designed with fleet performance in mind, delivering stability and control while lifting heavy loads and when moving between on- and off-the-road environments. This addition to the company’s expanding portfolio of specialty tyres underscores the company’s commitment to innovation for all forms of mobility.

The new Bridgestone VHS3 tyre is U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) approved, meeting the safety standards set by the DOT. The VHS3 tire outpaces its predecessor, the VHS2 tyre, in several categories and will officially replace it in Bridgestone’s portfolio. Specialised features of the tyre include:

  • 12% More Tire Life – The Bridgestone VHS3 tyre is manufactured with advanced rubber compound technology and innovative sidewall construction, reducing heat buildup, minimising irregular wear, and extending tyre life by 12%, Bridgestone claims.
  • More Grip – Wide grooves and extended lugs in the tyre’s new tread design aim to offer improved grip, stability and wear across highways and off-road terrains.
  • Lighter Casing Design – The new VHS3 tyre utilises a redesigned casing that features a lighter belt, bead structure, and shoulder design, to help reduce fuel consumption while maintaining load capacity.
