A new children’s animation series is set to lift educational storytelling to new heights. Cherry Picker Pete is an exciting and safety-driven show aimed at children aged 4+, where real-world lifting equipment and teamwork take centre stage. It features WOLFFY the Tower Crane in a unique brand collaboration with WOLFFKRAN UK.

Created by lifting industry veteran Peter Hird Jr and his family, the series aims to introduce children to construction safety and collaboration through fun characters, real machinery, and positive values. At the heart of the show is Pete, a friendly expert who leads a team of animated machines and people to solve challenges on real-world job sites.

The programmes’ main target markets are North America, the UK, and Europe – followed by other regions, where Hird sees strong alignment between kids’ animation growth and the need for early, engaging safety education.

“We aim to plant the seeds from a young age and attract the youth to the lifting industries,” said Peter Hird. “By capturing their imagination early, we hope to inspire the next generation of skilled, safety-conscious crane & cherry picker operators, riggers, and engineers.”

WOLFFY – the tower crane with muscle and mentorship

As part of a unique brand collaboration, global lifting expert WOLFFKRAN has joined the Cherry Picker Pete universe, introducing WOLFFY – a bright red tower crane who serves as both mentor and muscle for the team.

Series rollout & educational impact

Cherry Picker Pete will debut with two special introductory episodes in Q4 2025, followed by a full 26-episode series rolling out through 2026 and beyond. The show will feature a wide variety of lifting equipment including:

• Pick & carry cranes

• Mobile cranes

• Spider Cranes

• Telescopic FLT

• Lifting accessories

The creators will also be working in collaboration with education authorities and governing bodies, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and expanding reach into schools, training programmes, and industry events.

As part of the outreach, school visits will be scheduled featuring interactive WOLFFY crane models, giving children the chance to safely explore lifting concepts through hands-on play, storytelling, and safety-themed activities.
