The PK 85002 Performance has a boom that can be angled upwards, and can be fitted with up to nine hydraulic extension arms. The crane has a lifting moment of 80tm, and a hydraulic outreach of 22.5m. With a fly-jib, the crane offers an outreach of more than 32m, and a lifting height of more than 36m.
The lifting capacity can, said the company, be significantly increased by means of two pressure stages. It added: “In each crane position automatic return oil utilisation guarantees a constantly high working speed and the endless slewing mechanism equipped as standard with two slewing gears permits an unrestricted radius of action.”
In addition, the Active Oscillation Suppression system is designed to actively compensate for jolts and oscillations. As a result, claimed Palfinger, loads can be placed much more quickly and accurately.
The new crane is available in two variants – with a standard truck base frame or with an integral base frame. The crane outriggers and the additional support system can be remotely controlled.
