Siemens VDO now provides manufacturers of construction machinery, including cranes, with a range of floor-mounted accelerator pedals designed to interpret the pedal position electronically rather than mechanically.
The new pedal is supplied as a complete unit ready for installation. It comprises a base plate, pedal plate, and return springs. The sensor is integrated into the unit, and can be adapted to different engine management interfaces if necessary. The non-contact sensor integrated into the pedal unit processes the signals generated electronically. Both analogue and digital sensors are available for connection to various engine interfaces.
Pedals are available at angles of 31, 39 and 45 degrees.
