Willem Hilderink, a regional sales manager for Grove Crane, has been given additional sales responsibility for Manitowoc crawler cranes across the whole of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
With the new title of sales vice president for crawler cranes, he also remains sales manager for Manitowoc Crane Group’s Grove mobile cranes in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Hilderink, aged 42, lives in his native Holland and joined Grove in 1995 after 14 years working for overhead crane and hoist producer Konecranes. Until the appointment of a Manitowoc Crane Group sales and marketing vice president, Hilderink will report to executive vice president Jean-Yves Bouffault for crawler sales.
Responsibility for mobile crane sales in Italy, a territory that Hilderink previously looked after for Grove, has been handed to Andrea Madia, managing director of Southern Europe sales of Potain tower cranes.
Paul Burali-Forti, who has represented Manitowoc in Europe since 2000, before the Potain and Grove acquisitions, and had been in charge of crawler crane sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, now has responsibility for crawler crane marketing. His responsibilities include market analysis, monitoring the competition and defining specifications for the European range. He will report to Manuel Meurant, marketing director for the Manitowoc Crane Group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Burali-Forti said: “In my new assignment as EMEA marketing manager for crawler cranes, I will be coordinating product development, equipment specifications, and market and competitive analyses, all designed to determine which crawler crane segments we will focus on in EMEA and with which models and specifications. This position will interface very closely with the sales and CraneCare groups to maximise market penetration and satisfaction with the Manitowoc crawler crane product line.”
