The company told Cranes Today it has sold 34 tower cranes since it was relaunched, into markets such as Australia, Africa, the Middle East, Turkey and Italy.

This includes the delivery of nine towers in Libya that are working on the construction of a hotel and a conference centre in Tripoli, and two hotels in Zouara. A tenth crane, an LR165, will soon be ready for delivery to the country.

In Africa, Raimondi is delivering three MRT 111 models, two LR60s and one self-erecting tower.

On its home market, a 14t capacity Raimondi ER291 with a jib length of 70m and a 191m height under hook is being used in the construction of L’Altra Torre, which Raimondi said is the tallest skyscraper in Milan and the Lombardia region. L’Altra Torre will house the headquarters of Regione Lombardia.

Trade shows have also been a successful part of Raimondi’s revival, with the company exhibiting at Intermat and export sales manager Daniela Pagani telling Cranes Today: “It is important to us that people know we were here. People have been saying that Raimondi has gone but we are here.”

Pagani said after Intermat, Allcrane, its official dealer in the Gulf, exhibited an LR165 luffing jib tower with a 55m-long jib and 12t capacity at the Project Qatar exhibition in Doha. This, she said, led to the sale of three MRT 111 and two MRT 294 models.
