The Rasool family set up Santos in January 2005, and now has 16 cranes, with another eight on order. It has also opened a new branch in Doha, Qatar, according to Santos marketing manager, Sarmad Alzadjaly, who is also Rasool’s son. The company currently employs 20 people and is planning to open a service centre in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in September.
Rasool worked for Sarilar for three years, and has also worked at local rival Masters Crane Co.
Sarilar International Heavy Lift is currently searching for a new managing director, said owner Mustafa Gürbüz.
