Chinese crane manufacturer Sany Group has recently widened its international reach through significant equipment deliveries and new supply agreements in Southeast Asia and South America.
The company’s marine division, Sany Marine, has entered into a procurement agreement with Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) to provide 26 pieces of port equipment for a South American container terminal.
This order consists of six quay cranes and 20 rubber-tired gantry cranes.
The supply agreement is an important step in HGT’s efforts to expand capacity and meet the demands of its customers.
HGT CEO Dheeraj Bhatia said: “The signing of this agreement marks a major milestone in our efforts to build a world-class port. Sany’s equipment will provide a solid foundation for safe and efficient port operations, helping us better serve our customers and contribute to regional economic growth.”
Sany Marine chairman Zhou Guoyuan said that the deal aligns with the company’s international expansion plans.
He added that Sany intends to use its experience in port and logistics equipment to support customers in enhancing their operational efficiency.
Additionally, Sany Heavy Industry has delivered 40 pieces of SW970E electric wheel loaders to a rice processing facility in Thailand.
According to Sany, the SW970E models are adapted to withstand the high dust levels, ongoing operations, and heavy workloads typical in rice production.
The loaders offer extended operation times, zero emissions, and noise reduction, which the company highlights as key features for use in Thailand’s rice sector.
Following the initial delivery, the rice mill ordered an additional 50 SW956E electric wheel loaders.
Both models will be used to move materials throughout the production process, from processing to packaging.
Sany has indicated its intention to continue expanding its presence internationally by supplying products designed for efficiency and lower environmental impact.
The group states that it remains focused on supporting customers in diverse sectors such as port logistics and agriculture with its range of equipment.
In February 2026, Sany UK, the British division of Sany, entered into a strategic alliance with crane sales and rental company Crowland Cranes.
