Keeping out abrasive contaminants prevents accelerated wear on equipment working in harsh environments. Blue Diamond says that its heavy duty shaft seals, with elastomer coated inner and outer faces, maintain intimate contact between shaft and housing even where surfaces are rough and worn.
The design features an extended face plate and multiple internal sealing lips with grease-filled cavities in between for more efficient sealing and longer life. Special seals can be manufactured in addition to the NAK type AO, AJ and AP which are available as standard.
