Siemens’ worldwide crane activities are now being managed by Siemens Netherlands in The Hague. The cranes business, which until last month was served from various divisions of the company worldwide, is now being allocated to the Motion Control Systems division of the Automation and Drives (A&D MC) operating group, and operating from the regional offices in The Netherlands.
‘The centralisation of activities will significantly improve the company’s competitive position in the marketplace in this field of business,’ the company said. ‘Siemens Cranes will provide its customers worldwide with a rigid, long-term partnership for crane technology solutions in container- and bulk transshipment and in the industrial sector,’ it added.
