Dutch mobile tower crane manufacturer Spierings Mobile Cranes has appointed D&T Machinery as its official dealer for South Korea.
D&T Machinery brings extensive experience in the crane industry and a long history of cooperation with European crane manufacturers. The company previously served as a dealer for Demag cranes before the brand was acquired by Tadano. Today, D&T Machinery continues to represent Terex rough terrain cranes and is also active in trading high-quality second-hand Japanese and German cranes.
Spierings says the strategic partnership marks an important step in strengthening its presence in Asia and in further developing the growing Korean market.
South Korea has proven to be a strong and promising market for Spierings. The first Spierings mobile tower cranes were imported into the country in 2013, and since then the concept has steadily gained recognition among Korean contractors. Today, South Korea represents the largest market for mobile tower cranes outside Europe, making it a key region for Spierings’ continued international growth.
Under the new agreement, D&T Machinery will be responsible for the sales, after-sales service, and spare parts support for Spierings Mobile Cranes throughout South Korea. A major focus of the cooperation will be the development of a strong local service infrastructure to ensure Korean customers benefit from fast and reliable technical support and spare parts availability.
“We are very proud to represent Spierings Mobile Cranes in South Korea,” said Mr. Lee, owner of D&T Machinery. “The innovative concept of mobile tower cranes offers significant advantages for urban construction projects, which are increasingly common in Korea. We are confident that the Korean market will continue to embrace the efficiency and flexibility that Spierings cranes offer.”
“For us, after-sales service and spare parts availability are essential,” added Mr. Cha, co-owner of D&T Machinery. “Our team is committed to building a strong local support structure so Korean customers can rely on fast service and minimal downtime. We see this as a long-term partnership with both Spierings and our customers.”
“South Korea is a very important market for Spierings and one with strong growth potential,” said Jeroen Kerkhoff, responsible for sales in Scandinavia, Belgium and Asia at Spierings Mobile Cranes. “With the increasing demand for efficient lifting solutions on compact construction sites, the mobile tower crane concept fits the Korean market very well.
“D&T Machinery has an excellent reputation and deep knowledge of the Korean crane market. Their experience with European crane manufacturers and their strong focus on service make them the ideal partner for Spierings in South Korea.”
