Tiong Woon of Singapore has teamed up with Fagioli PSC to pursue turnkey projects in Asia.
Fagioli PSC, part of the Italian Fagioli Group, has a range of strand jacks, power packs and tower lifts while Tiong Woon has heavylift cranes and transporters.
Tiong Woon chairman KH Ang said that the long term aim of the memorandum of understanding that the two companies have signed is to form a joint venture company to offer turnkey packages in heavy lift and heavy transportation.
The companies have already secured a joint project to skid and weigh a 2,800t cantilever structure with a total volume of 42,000m3 being built by a local shipyard for an offshore rig. Tiong Woon is also supplying a Demag CC 2600 crawler crane to the yard.
