In Slovakia a GEDA 500 Z/ZP transport platform was flown by helicopter to the job site: Spiš Castle, near Spišské Podhradie.
There the GEDA 500 Z/ZP is being used for the transport of materials and personnel across three floors of the castle. The transport platform has two separate control systems enabling its use as both a materials hoist and for transporting people. It has a lifting speed of 24 m/min in material mode and 12 m/min in personnel mode.
The C variant of the platform was chosen for this project to transport building materials with a load capacity of up top 850kg.
At Spiš the GEDA 500 Z/ZP is also equipped with GEDA’s Comfort floor safety doors system.
Due to the remote location of the castle and the difficult access routes GEDA’s Slovakian partner AP-Lift utilised a helicopter to fly the platform there.
