The range, which Mitas supplies to crane manufacturers including Liebherr and Manitowoc, already incorporated the 445/95R25 CR-01. New to the range is the 385/95R25 CR-01 170F TL and 525/80R25 CR-01 176F TL, designed for speeds of up to 80kmh and 90kmh respectively.
The range of tyres all feature Mitas-Link a connection between tread blocks designed to increase tyre life and limit tread movement. Keeping the thread lugs in a fixed position allows for better control of the vehicle and preserves off-road traction, as well as reducing noise levels by preventing the noise generated within the tyre tread from spreading, says Mitas.
The 525/80R25 has a 28mm-deep tread pattern and due to its all-steel construction offers 6% less rolling resistance compared to a standard mobile crane tyre, improving fuel efficiency.
