Spanish tower crane manufacturer Jaso confirms it has now sold five models of its latest tower crane, the J198HPA (first reported here), in the UK.

According to Dick Huitema, export area manager at Jaso, the company developed the crane in response to demand for, “a larger hydraulic model which could take the market away from the 200-300tnm capacity rope luffers.”

Jaso said there was a clear requirement, particularly in congested inner city sites, for a luffer sitting on narrow towers with a very quick assembly set up, low power consumption and an eco mode.

The company said it has also had a number of pre-orders for the J198HPA although these are currently delayed due to Covid.

Jaso also revealed it is working on developing new models so look out for further details coming soon.
