The British Valve & Actuator Association (BVAA) has published a leaflet designed to help its members’ customers. BVAA director, Rob Bartlett, explains: ‘The users of flow control equipment have developed very “lean” operations. The end result is that many companies can no longer afford to permanently employ a resident valve or actuator expert.
‘The trend towards temporary contract staff also means that some companies lack the time or staff to attend exhibitions, evaluate new products or undertake product training. BVAA has addressed this issue by producing a Customer Services leaflet which explains the services that BVAA can supply direct to its members’ customer base.’
