A Terex CC2400 will be ready to join the fleet of Vest Kran in October, while the 600t Terex CC2800-1 NT will be delivered in March 2009. “This order is a part of our strategy to strengthen our capacity for larger projects,” says heavy lift manager Gert Emblem. He points to petrochemical industry, windfarms and larger industrial projects where these crawlers will join the larger all-terrain cranes in the fleet of Vest Kran.
The 400-tonne crane will be fully equipped with superlift and flyjib. The 600-tonne CC2800-1 NT was released last year, and is able to change its track size down to 5m, to allow it to access narrow sites.
Vest Kran’s large-crane division has six AC200s, one AC350s and one AC600s and is waiting for a new AC1000 crane on order from Terex Demag. The company also owns two Starlifter 5500s from Sennebogen.
