Dutch trailer manufacturer Nooteboom has announced the introduction of a new configuration within its EURO-PX3 series, combining a 2-axle Interdolly with a 4-axle low loader.

The latest addition aims to address increasing demand for larger payloads and greater operational flexibility in the special transport sector.

The 2+4 EURO-PX3 configuration delivers an additional payload of over 1,000kg compared with the previous generation.

Nooteboom states this increase does not compromise the vehicle’s durability or ease of use. The model is designed in such a way that the 2-axle Interdolly can be interchanged with both earlier EURO low loader generations and the existing EURO-PX3 lineup.

The company indicates that this is intended to help operators reduce total ownership costs by maintaining flexible deployment options across fleets.

Nooteboom reports that the configuration’s steering system and vehicle layout have been optimised to meet the needs of exceptional transport.

The company claims that the advanced steering system allows for easier acquisition of long-term permits for longer vehicle combinations, and may reduce the requirement for a second driver.

Additional steering angle, available through manual control, has been cited as useful for drivers when manoeuvring in restricted conditions. This allows transport operators to handle heavier loads with efficiency and reliability.

Features of the 2+4 EURO-PX3, consistent with the rest of the series, include an updated U-Trough for more loading space, a lightweight chassis, and a large steering angle.

The model is available with various vehicle widths, axle spacings and tyre sizes, and offers a load capacity of 12t or 14t per axle line at 80km/h.

Operators can combine the low loader with either a 1- or 2-axle Interdolly, depending on transport requirements.

The first delivery of the 2+4 EURO-PX3 with a 2-axle Interdolly is scheduled for Schaften Rental Cranes and Special Transport.

Nooteboom presented the model to the public at the Hillhead exhibition in Buxton, UK, from 23 to 25 June.

The initial EURO-PX3 series was introduced in April 2025 at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, first in a three-axle configuration, with the two-axle version launched later the same year. The latest 2+4 model continues the expansion of the product line.

In March, Rheinmetall and Nooteboom reached an agreement to jointly develop and market trailers for military heavy equipment.
