Italian crane manufacturer Jekko has introduced JF1050, the latest articulated crawler crane in its product range, which is designed for use in both industrial maintenance and construction projects where access is restricted and operating space is limited.
The JF1050 can lift up to 22t and achieve a maximum tip height of 34.5m, offering versatility for tasks such as machinery replacement, plant installation, data centre work, material handling in food processing environments, and warehouse operations.
The model incorporates a decagonal X-Design boom with telescopic extensions developed by Fassi. This design improves load capacity, especially in vertical positions, while distributing stress efficiently to reduce overall weight and enhance stability under various operating conditions.
This crane features three articulation points in the boom, enabling it to reach over obstacles and work at negative angles, thus supporting a broad range of motion.
Jekko has equipped the JF1050 with a Bi-Energy system, integrating a low-emission diesel engine with an electric powerpack, allowing operators to switch between power sources to suit indoor or outdoor requirements.
This configuration aims to support autonomous operation outdoors and emission-free use indoors, catering to different site needs.
Jekko has included Variable Speed Engine Management for more controllable movements and lower fuel consumption.
Users can choose between Eco, Normal, and Power modes, adjusting engine output and efficiency as required.
Operators can access all relevant information, such as fuel levels, engine rpm, and residual autonomy, via a new 7in IP66-certified touchscreen display, which also offers real-time stability zone mapping and an on-board crane assistant.
The JF1050 has a self-removable counterweight to simplify transport and reduce ground pressure, making the equipment suitable for lightweight surfaces.
It supports a variety of configurations, including lifting with either a hook or winch, use of a hydraulic jib, operation of independent hydraulic tools such as grapple saws or beam grabbers.
Jekko has also recently introduced the TRX80, a truck-mounted mini crane with an 8t lifting capacity and a maximum outreach of 27.2m. The crane is installed on a compact two-axle truck chassis, keeping its total weight below 8t.
