Bob Francis Crane Hire of Rhuddlan, North Wales has ordered the UK’s first 40t-capacity Compact Truck CT.2 40 all terrain crane.

The model comes as standard with four-wheel drive and steer, and a 30m telescopic boom. This unit is also being supplied with an off-settable 10.3m fly jib, a 300kg capacity work platform attachment with a maximum working height of 34m, and 5t capacity fork attachment with a maximum working height of 32m.

The sale was negotiated by Liftme-dot-com which is now a sales agent for the Compact Truck range. Terex dealer European Cranes used to act for Compact Truck in the UK but it never managed to secure a sale and dropped the product.

The crane is scheduled for delivery in May. Bob Francis has also placed a provisional order for one of the new five-axle, 110t capacity machines which are planned for launch later this year.
