From a London landmark, to a world of lift planning



TC 1 – A tower crane designed to hang off of the slip form in the middle of the concrete core that built the exterior walls of the core from basement 3 to level 72. The tower crane was designed to have no base to it and was carried upward with the core at a rate of 3m/day. Van Doorn TCC was involved in the installation of this tower crane along with Select Plant Hire and Mace Group. TC 7 – A tower crane built off of a counter balanced base which starts at level 54 and was erected and climbed to not only dismantle TC1 at level 72 but to finish off the remainder of the building up to a height of about 327m high. Van Doorn TCC was involved in the design, erection, climbing and dismantle of the tower crane along with Select Plant Hire and Mace Group.
