Dan Quinn, Link-Belt’s long-serving chief engineer, has retired and been succeeded by Bruce White.

Quinn joined Link-Belt Speeder Corp in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a junior design engineer in in 1964. He moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1978 when a new facility was built for the hydraulic crane division by the then owner FMC Corp. He was appointed vice president of design engineering in 1986, a position he held for 15 years. He has also served as chairman of the Power Crane & Shovel Association (a division of the Construction Industry Manufacturers’ Association), and as a member of the ISO committee for the US crane industry.

His successor, Bruce White has himself got 22 years’ engineering experience at Link-Belt and since 1992 has been manager of the hydraulic crane group.

Other personnel changes at Link-Belt see Troy Krumm promoted to manager, technical support and Vi Ralston to supervisor, customer service. They take over from Wayne Bierman and George Nolte who have retired after 38 years and 35 years, respectively.
