A changing landscape
In 1973 Pingon's crane activities were taken over by Manubat. Pierre-Joseph de Pingon continued to design public works machinery and, in 1975, he founded the company Mécalac (Mécanique du Lac) in Annecy-le-Vieux making mechanical shovels. He died in 1988
